//Mon Petit Fleur
In the garden, all the plants gazed upon the beautiful sky every night. There was one young sunflower, though, that always gazed upon the sun. He looked and looked and looked in fascination, but was dismayed when it disappeared to the West. He hung his head and looked back to the East, waiting for the sun to reemerge in the morning. All the plants wondered why he watched the sun so intently when there was so much more to see.
The sunflower grew older and taller, and began to stand proudly in the garden. He noticed one day that his neck was especially stiff from the long summer day. When the sun finally went down, the sunflower found himself still looking West, but not at the horizon any longer. He eyed the cosmos with great confusion. He asked what the tiny points of light were that were strewn across the dark sky. The other plants told him they were called stars, and that every one of them was another sun, just like the one he watched with such commitment.
Thereafter, the sunflower looked at the same point in the sky all day and night and realized what he had been missing while following just one star.
